hf’s cycle adventure

TA cycle logos revD 20151214

And so the revolutions begin …

kia ora!

This is my very first blog, ever ever, having just joined facey-book last week.

My conclusion is : social media is weird  …  but very important!

I’m hoping you’ll come with me on a little adventure, or at least ‘drop in’ now-and-again to see how things are going, see if I AM still going, be rude to me … all that stuff. I’m heading off on a big bicycle ride to see the full length of New Zealand, and I have to complete this 3000 km trip in 30 days or less. That’s an average of 100 km a day … everyday … for 30 days … I might be changing my mind.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!

I’m doing this to see if my brain still works in unusual circumstances, and before the bits of my body which ache already get any more achy, and to see a very beautiful country …

… AND to raise money for an amazing charity in Wellington called Kaibosh Food Rescue.

So what do you reckon?

Fancy coming along with me and watching this blog?

Want to help me get started with advice on how to cycle-tour and not fall off all the time?

Want to criticise my progress?

See if I can raise some readies for a worthy cause?

I’m going to need all the support you can give me, and I can’t wait to have you along!!

I’ve made some pages on this blog (all new to me so I hope they work!) that should explain a bit more … let me know what you think.

  1. Henry…can’t say how impressed we are with this adventure…..you’ll easily do it in 30 days once you get used to riding without stabilisers…..

  2. Henry, thanks for posting a TA blog as experienced by a “normal” person on a very ordinary bike – the good, the bad, and the ugly. All the others are writen by 250km/day cyborgs on $5000+ 7kg carbon fibre creations, and are a bit intimidating!
